I am a Yeti fan. I know they are expensive, but you get what you pay for.

This is a review of the Roadie 20.

I own a Roadie, a Hopper 30, and a Colster. I love them all. I am 5 stars all the way on the Hopper and the Colster, but the Roadie only pulled 4 stars in my opinion. Why? Well it is a great cooler, it keeps ice forever it seems. I have gone back a day or two later and still had ice cold drinks. That all comes at a cost...and I don't mean the $250 price tag. I mean the thing is heavy. The thickness of the cooler walls takes away from the space and adds to the weight. Know that going in. As a whole, that makes sense. So what is the problem? Well in my opinion, that works for bigger coolers. I can deal with the weight and the reduced cooler interior. At this small of a size, it seems to be too much. It's small size and heavy weight don't balance well. If I had to do it all over again, I would have gone bigger and bought a Hopper 20 which is more portable, flexible, and lighter. The only problem is when I bought my Roadie, they hadn't released the Hopper yet.

Honestly, this doesnt seem any better than any other similar cooler, just more expensive. Over all it looks great and serves its purpose. Maybe I was expecting miracles. It is well made and easy to handle but it doesnt retain ice any longer than any other brand name

Def keeps the bears away

Phenom cooler - super durable, and really holds in the cold. The Roadie is the smallest cooler in their line, but it works great for storing beers, meats, and cheese for outdoor small gatherings. This size is also super mobile. Yeti's are pricey but IMO they are worth every dollar.

Perfect size! Holds an 18 pack and a bag of ice perfectly. Load it. Lock it. Leave it. 48 hours later, you've still got the coldest beer on the planet. Add some brine, it almost freezes! Definitely worth it and all the ladies love the color. If you are confident in your manliness, get it!

We've tested it twice now. We take it on road trips. The first trip, it held our soda pop extremely cold for 3 days. Even then , it was still cold, but water was there, so we dumped that, and finally put new ice in. We had sandwiches, and vegetable sticks in it, and it all stayed perfect. I would say colder than a refrigerator, which is how I like drinks. Great for the road. Great to keep in your room at the hotel. We love it!

LFG
I love this cooler. It works great. I do wish there was a way the the plug was attached to the cooler. I used it for dry ice and for keeping breasts milk frozen for a long weekend and it kept the dry ice, ice and breastmik frozen for 3 days.

Used it for a river tubing trip in which it would be in direct sunlight for 4+ hours. Drinks remained ICE cold. There was still frozen ice in it the following day. The 20 quart is the perfect size for me, balancing bulkiness with capacity. We fit a 15-pack of 12oz cans, with 6 more 12oz cans on top of that, AND a large ice pack and a 5lb bag of ice dumped over it all.

It arrived with quite a few superficial scratches (about 12). I'm going to be beating this up myself when I go camping, kayaking, or to the beach... so it's not that big of a deal to me. However, I do believe that if you pay $200 for a cooler, it should arrive in pristine condition. I've used it once so far, and the cooler does it's job as intended. It's keeps my drinks cold, and it's a high quality cooler (which is what you'd expect from Yeti). It doesn't leak, nor does it have condensation.

After reaching out to amazon about the scratches, they credited my account with $30. I wasn't expecting anything, so this is a nice gesture from them. The box wasn't damaged upon arrival, so I'm sure this was a QA oversight from Yeti.

I will update this review in the future after some extended use.

*UPDATE* I've covered up the scratches with stickers, so this is no longer an issue. Also, if anyone is having issues with slight leaking from the drain plug, take the gasket off, flip it around, then put it back on. This fixed a very very slight leak I noticed (leaked about a quater sized spot of water after cooler was left for about 4 days). This little trick solved my "leak".

I meal prep and take my food with me. This Yeti will hold ice in at hot trunk of a car, with the outside temperature being 110, for 2 days easily. I tried another produce and all of the ice had melted and ruined all of my food by the end of a 12 hour shift. When they say as good as as Yeti, there is NO comparison. Spend the money and get the one that actually works.
