WindRider Pro Sailing Gloves - 3/4 or Full Finger - Padded Palm and Amara Reinforcement - Mesh back for comfort - Perfect for Sailing, Paddling, Canoeing or SUP - Sizes for Men, Women and Kids
Breathable and Fast Drying - We put a mesh back on these gloves so they will keep your hands cooler in warm weather and so they dry faster when your hands do get wet. No more soggy gloves on those multi-day regattas or paddling trips
Excellent Protection - Newly updated with a brushed amara leather palm gives you the ultimate protection from rope burns or blisters, while providing better grip. Say goodbye to blisters and hello to more fun
Extra Padding - You spoke and we listened. New for 2018 we have added a layer of padding under the palm. Not so thick to lose any feel, but added protection while hauling on the sheets or gripping your paddle
Nimble Fingers - With either just the thumb or forefinger or all the fingers cut to about 2/3 finger length, you will have full mobility to tie knots, open sandwich bags or twiddle your thumbs.
Multisport - We hate single use appliances, why tolerate single use gloves? The WindRider gloves can be used for kayaking, SUP, Sailing, wakeboarding or anywhere else you need your hands protected on the water. 1 pair of gloves = endless fun on the water. Unisex sizing for Men, Women, or Youth

I sail on smaller boats (19 or less feet) and these gloves really help me to avoid blisters from pulling in the main sheet and jib sheet. I'm sure they would be just as great for kayaking and other activities on the water!

The gloves run big so I'd go with a size smaller than your initial instinct. I was thinking a medium but went down to a small after reading reviews. The fit is perfect and if anything I'd probably be fine in an XS. For reference, I'm an average height adult woman of averages weight for my size. I don't have unusually tiny hands or anything. :)

5 stars, highly recommend!

My hands measure exactly 8", so I ordered both S and M. Right after unpacking, M is way too large, and S is so tight I couldn't make a fist. I returned M, and went sailing twice with the S. They're broken in now, and they feel much better than right out of the box, but still quite tight. After broken in, they perform very well on the water. They protect my hands from the lines, but don't interfere with my hands too much. They're very breathable I still feel quite comfortable even when they are wet. The only reason they don't get 5-star is because after I'm done sailing and there is nothing to distract me, the tightness would immediately remind me of their presence, and I would take them off right away. They are not comfortable enough for me to keep them on as I lounge around on the dock, but they work fine on the water.

Have not yet tried these on the water, only tried them on. They are not quite as solidly made as a pair of Harken Black Magic 3/4 finger gloves I have, but are not badly made. The fit is good. For the price, these seem to be a great deal.

The gloves have a velcro closure on the inside wrist, which seems strange at first. The reason is that the velcro, which stands up from the glove, then won't hit the buttons on a watch being used to time the start of a race (assuming you wear your watch on the outside of your wrist, as most people do). The Harkens have a more normal velcro closure, with a double-tab, which makes it difficult for them to be pulled open by accident. The WindRider velcro is less secure. Also, the velcro closure on one glove is "upside down" (it has the WindRider name on it) versus the other, which may be a manufacturing mistake.

I purchased these for my ten year old daugher for her sailing classes and weekly regatta. They worked perfectly, dried fast and were pretty resistant to wear while constantly trimming sales during races.

I bought two pairs of gloves one for my husband and one for myself. We measured our hands and his, size Large, fit perfectly (like a glove, har-har). Mine, size Small, were much too big. I returned them and purchased the Extra Small and they are great! I really appreciate the no-hassle service on the exchange. The gloves are light weight and perfect for the sailing we do in the Finger Lakes.

I really appreciate the measurement gauge that was supplied on the site to determine the size. It came in handy to get the exact size ordered. As the saying goes, "it fits like a glove." I have a recommendation to the manufacturer, I have a larger thenar area for my hand size, so when putting the glove on, I had problems getting it over the joint of my thumb. I would suggest a deeper "cut" in the opening toward the thumb. When dry, I can remove them without much effort, but not sure what it will be like when they get wet.

Nice gloves feel well made. I use these for land sailing, and will give them a try for belaying next time I go climbing. They are comfortable, but I wish I had gotten a smaller size. The "large" feels a bit to big. I have average size hands for a 6ft tall person, should have gone with a "medium" probably.

Love the gloves, but the construction is not all that robust. I've spent hours in them paragliding and I can tell these won't last long. Some of the stitching on the ends of the fingers is starting to loosen and fray on some of the fingers, and the wrist stitching is also coming out a bit.

Without breaking them in at all I went on a 2 day race and they were amazing! The padding on the heel of my hand was so ~handy~ when I was propping myself up for so long at a time. Definitely recommend these gloves

I had purchased another pair of windrider gloves, the fingerless ones in large. In that review, I stated the gloves ran a bit small so for these I ordered the x-large and they fit great. The large sized ones are still on the boat as a backup or for anyone with smaller hands than mine (they fit the wife just fine).
